Costs and Estimates

How much does appliance repair cost?

Repair costs depend on the appliance, the specific problem, and which parts are needed. Minor repairs — a door latch, a belt, a fuse — typically cost much less than major component replacements like a control board or motor. We provide a clear cost estimate after diagnosing the problem, before any work begins, so there are no surprises.

Is it worth repairing vs. replacing my appliance?

A common rule of thumb: if a repair costs more than 50% of the appliance’s replacement value and the unit is nearing the end of its typical lifespan, replacement may make more financial sense. We’ll give you an honest assessment after diagnosis — including our view on whether the repair is worthwhile — so you can make an informed decision.

Do you charge for the initial assessment?

No diagnostic fee is added on top of your repair cost. We come out, assess the appliance, and give you a firm quote. If you move forward, the service call is included in the total — no separate charge. If you decide not to proceed after the assessment, the service call fee still applies. Either way, you get the full price before we start any work.

The Repair Process

How long does a typical repair take?

Many repairs are completed in a single visit when the required part is a common one that we carry. If a specific part needs to be ordered, a second visit is scheduled once it arrives. We’ll let you know at the time of diagnosis what to expect for your particular repair.

Do I need to be home during the repair?

Yes — an adult needs to be present to provide access to the appliance, review the diagnosis and cost estimate, and authorize the repair. We’ll confirm the appointment time so you can plan accordingly.

What brands do you work on?

We work on most major residential appliance brands including Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG, GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire, Bosch, KitchenAid, Amana, and others. If your brand isn’t listed, call us — there’s a good chance we service it.
